Paul Hirschbiel’s July 4th Statement
Virginia Beach, VA- Today Paul Hirschbiel issued the following Independence Day statement:
“As we gather together with friends and family to celebrate the 4th of July holiday, let us take a minute to remember how blessed we are to live in a country where every person regardless of their background is capable of success. That American dream, embodied by our founders on the first Independence Day, proved that if we thought of big ideas, worked hard, and played by the rules, every American could accomplish great things.
Our founders knew that to build the greatest country on earth, the secret to success wasn’t money or titles, but a strong and united citizenry who came together to work for a common cause. Time and time again, our citizens have faced tough challenges and we have banded together to come out even stronger. That uniquely American spirit is the defining quality of our greatness as a nation.
On this holiday we must also honor the servicemen and women who are currently fighting around the globe, and we can never forget the servicemembers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending the freedoms that we hold dear.
This 4th of July, we should remember that American spirit as we strive to work with our friends and neighbors to improve our community, our state, and our nation, because the one thing we know for sure is that together, we can achieve greatness.”
